| Breaking News | | Thursday, April 21st, 2016: Bad Boy Brawlers Suspended 5 Games There was a mass free-for-all yesterday at Fenway Park. Both dugouts emptied when Boston center fielder Larry Shannon and Baltimore pitcher Willie Latham scuffled with one another after some heated words.
In an official statement today, the league commissioner suspended both parties for 5 games.
This year Shannon has batted at a .314 pace with 16 hits, 5 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 16 times. "I let my team mates down by letting my emotions get the better of me.", Shannon said to Ethan Knight after hearing of the suspension. "The Commish sure doesn't waste time suspending players, does he? It was like I was on speed dial!"
| | Friday, October 9th, 2015: Judge Dozier Re-Signs with Baltimore Reports began circulating several days ago that Judge Dozier would re-sign with the Orioles, but didn't materialize until today when the club officially confirmed SION's reports.
Details were sketchy, though Baltimore did say Dozier would be with the club 2 years beyond his current deal.
This year Dozier is hitting .259 with 150 hits, 26 home runs, 102 RBIs and has scored 96 runs. | | Saturday, September 19th, 2015: Delgado Goes Cycling It was a game of mixed emotions for Chris Delgado. He had just had one of the best games of his career -- he had hit for the cycle -- but his Baltimore Orioles lost the game 10-5 to Boston.
"Normally when you have a great game like this, it makes you feel good. But the loss takes some of it away. A real competitor never has fun losing a game."
For the game Delgado collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, including a single, double, triple and home run.
C. Delgado singled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off L. Walker in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
This year Delgado is batting .307 with 22 home runs and 95 RBIs. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 25-31, .446 PCT | | Position in Division | 4th, 13.5 GB | | Record at home | 14-17, .452 PCT | | Record on the road | 11-14, .440 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 1-0, 1.000 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 8-7, .533 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 5-5, .500 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 20-26, .435 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 5-5, .500 PCT | | Record in April | 13-11, .542 PCT | | Record in May | 10-18, .357 PCT | | Record in June | 2-2, .500 PCT |
