Sunday, June 5th, 2016: Harden Takes Charge, Blanks Los Angeles (A)
In a sharp 6-hit performance, Rich Harden tossed the Boston Red Sox to a 9-0 shutout victory over the Los Angeles (A) Angels of Anaheim, fanning 7 and walking 2.

"That's as good a stuff as I've seen in a long time," the Los Angeles (A) manager said in his postgame interview.

Currently Harden has a record of 7-3 with 67 strikeouts and 26 walks in 88.1 innings and a 2.65 ERA.

Rich Harden really strutted his stuff in May with 4 wins and 1 loss and walked off with the Pitcher of the Month Award in the American League. The Boston starter was good news for his club, but bad news for the opposition.

In 46 innings of work, Harden limited opposing batters to 36 base hits and a .217 batting average. He totaled 33 strikeouts, issued 13 walks and had a 1.76 ERA.

Harden has made 11 starts this season, posting 6 wins and 3 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .282 against him and he has 60 strikeouts in 79.1 innings with a 2.95 ERA.
Sunday, May 29th, 2016: Chamberlain Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games
Mark Chamberlain ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at Yankee Stadium, when he collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats.

"Hey, the streak is great. I hope it never ends. But I'm not happy when we lose the game," was his comment after New York (A) was beaten 9-8 by the Boston Red Sox.

"The scoreboard tells the whole story."
M. Chamberlain singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 10th.

In 42 games this season Chamberlain is batting .299 with 49 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 27 runs and driven in 29.
