But they didn't stop the Yankees. New York (A) came away with a 4-0 victory at Yankee Stadium.
Commenting on the demise of the streak, the 30-year-old right fielder told BNN, "Hey, I knew it wasn't going to last forever, but it was a good ride while it lasted."

"Hey, the streak is great. I hope it never ends. But I'm not happy when we lose the game," was his comment after New York (A) was beaten 9-8 by the Boston Red Sox.
"The scoreboard tells the whole story." M. Chamberlain singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 10th.
In 42 games this season Chamberlain is batting .299 with 49 hits and 4 home runs.
