Sunday, April 10th, 2016: Cleveland Stops Peralta's Hit Streak
The 20-game hitting streak of 25-year-old shortstop Jhonny Peralta came to an end today at Ewing R. Kaufman Stadium. The Indians held him hitless in 3 at-bats and also sent the Kansas City Royals down to defeat 7-6.

Peralta is batting at a .500 pace in 2016, picking up 8 hits in 16 at-bats with 4 home runs, 5 RBIs and 8 runs scored.
Saturday, April 9th, 2016: Peralta Stretches Hit String to 20
Royals shortstop Jhonny Peralta was beaming today after his team had beaten Cleveland 4-3 at Ewing R. Kaufman Stadium. He had contributed 2 hits to the victory and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.

"Life is good when the hits keep coming like they have in the last few weeks. I hope I can keep it up a little while longer."
J. Peralta singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off J. McGeehee in the 6th and struck out in the 7th.

Sunday, March 27th, 2016: Indians Crisp to Miss Year
Coco Crisp has to call it a season. The Cleveland Indians center fielder sustained a season-ending injury against the Seattle Mariners and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Crisp was injured while running the bases. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn back muscle and stated that he would not be able to play for 7-8 months.
