| Breaking News | | Thursday, June 2nd, 2016: Kansas City Halts Chamberlain's Hitting Steak The Kansas City Royals did something to Mark Chamberlain no team had done for the last 22 games -- they held him hitless and stopped his consecutive-game hitting streak. But they didn't stop the Yankees. New York (A) came away with a 4-0 victory at Yankee Stadium.
Commenting on the demise of the streak, the 30-year-old right fielder told BNN, "Hey, I knew it wasn't going to last forever, but it was a good ride while it lasted."
So far this year in 45 games Chamberlain is hitting .295 with 4 home runs, 32 RBIs and 29 runs scored. | | Wednesday, June 1st, 2016: Friendling Departing Royals? Sources inside the Kansas City organization have confirmed that Neal Friendling's name has come up in trade talks. They were unable to verify, however, that someone has contacted the Royals about obtaining the 36-year-old reliever. | | Monday, May 30th, 2016: Castro of Kansas City Player of the Week Ramon Castro is respected by most Kansas City Royals fans for his no-frills style of play.
