Monday, May 30th, 2016: Nationals Chill Douglas's Hot Streak
The Braves lost to Washington today by the score of 4-3 at Turner Field, but the bigger story was the end of a hit streak. Atlanta first baseman John Douglas was working on a 33-game hitting streak, but went 0-for-3 against the Nationals as the hot stretch came to an end.

This year Douglas has hit 7 home runs and posted a .349 batting average.
Sunday, May 29th, 2016: Douglas Extends Hit Streak to 33 Games
John Douglas collected 1 hit in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 33 games. His club, the Atlanta Braves, beat Philadelphia 10-4.

After the ballgame, Douglas quipped to a BNN reporter, "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball. I'm pretty excited how things are clicking."
J. Douglas flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.

For 2016 Douglas is hitting .354 with 7 home runs. His stats include 30 RBIs and 46 runs scored.
Saturday, May 28th, 2016: Hitting Streak Still Alive for Douglas
With 2 hits in today's game John Douglas added another number to his consecutive-game hitting streak. The Atlanta first baseman increased it to 32 games in a row. But the Braves fell to the Philadelphia Phillies 7-6 at Turner Field.
J. Douglas flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

This year Douglas is batting .356 with 7 home runs and 28 RBIs. In 48 games he has scored 45 times.
