Monday, May 30th, 2016: Nationals Chill Douglas's Hot Streak
The Braves lost to Washington today by the score of 4-3 at Turner Field, but the bigger story was the end of a hit streak. Atlanta first baseman John Douglas was working on a 33-game hitting streak, but went 0-for-3 against the Nationals as the hot stretch came to an end.

This year Douglas has hit 7 home runs and posted a .349 batting average.
Sunday, May 22nd, 2016: 3 Roundtrippers for Arias
Joaquin Arias showed some power today as he launched three balls into the seats against the Washington Nationals and sparked the Blue Jays to a 11-2 victory.

For the day he collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 4 runs and had 6 RBIs.

In the postgame press conference he told reporters, "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good. I always have liked to hit here at Skydome."

"He was instant offense today," the Toronto skipper said. "Joaquin really put on a show."

J. Arias hit a solo-shot off J. Fuentes in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off J. Fuentes in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off A. Cox in the 8th.

Saturday, May 7th, 2016: Andino Slams 5 Hits for San Francisco
5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Robert Andino of the San Francisco Giants had a sensational 5-5 game against Washington at Pac Bell Park. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 17-5 shellacking of the Nationals.

In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off... Right, skipper?"

R. Andino singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off C. Gillespie in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off O. Villarreal in the 8th.

Andino is presently hitting at a .364 pace with 4 home runs, 31 RBIs and has scored 23 times.
