Monday, May 30th, 2016: Houston Loses Lind for Year
The season is ending on a bad note for Adam Lind, left fielder for the Houston Astros. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Lind was hurt against the Cincinnati Reds while running the bases. He suffered a torn groin muscle and will be out for at least 8 months.

This year Lind is batting .262 with 17 hits and no home runs. He has scored 5 times and has batted in 7 runs.
Wednesday, May 18th, 2016: Patterson Makes 300 Mark
The Houston Astros defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 10-7 yesterday in a game that featured Corey Patterson's 300th career home run.

In the clubhouse, the Astros center fielder spoke about the milestone achievement. "To be honest, I don't even remember my first home run," he said. "But this one I don't think I'll forget. Who knows if I'll hit another hundred, or fifty, or even ten?"

On his historic day, Patterson banged out 3 hits in 5 at-bats and scored 3 runs with 5 RBI.

In his career Patterson is batting .285 with a total of 300 home runs.
Wednesday, May 18th, 2016: Patterson Crashes 3 HR Against Arizona
Fans seated in the bleacher section at Minute Maid Park were taking cover all day long as Corey Patterson took aim, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. Days like this are rare. After his amazing performance in Houston's 10-7 triumph over the Arizona Diamondbacks, the center fielder's name will soon be added into the record books.

He told reporters at the postgame press conference, "I told myself not to press on the last one. I knew I couldn't force it... that it has to be a nice easy swing."

For the game he collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, batted in 5 and scored 3 runs.

C. Patterson flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off D. Williams in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off F. Rosario in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off F. Rosario in the 8th.

Currently Patterson is batting .268 with 45 hits and 9 home runs. He has knocked in 29 runs and scored 34 times.
