After the end of today's game between Surpas and Nagoya, Kadonomaro Tashiro skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, the Posse had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The reliever will miss at least 6 weeks with a strained bicep muscle.
Tashiro has gone to the hill for 24 relief appearances this season, nailing down 5 saves while notching a 1-1 record with a 1.51 ERA. The Surpas reliever has limited opposing batters to a .176 batting average. |

The Daiei Firedogs clamped down on Tsunesaburo Hasegawa and put a stop to his hit streak at 20 straight games. He went without a hit, but it didn't keep the Sunset from winning the game. Shonan downed the Firedogs 2-1.

Shonan left fielder Tsunesaburo Hasegawa has extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with a 1-for-7 day. However, Daiei got a 8-3 victory over the Sunset at Ballpark of Shonan.
T. Hasegawa walked in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, struck out in the 9th, grounded out in the 11th, singled in the 14th, grounded out in the 15th and grounded out in the 18th.
